Rice CISD Skyward New Student Online Enrollment

A Step-by-Step Guide for incoming Rice Challenge Academy Students 

 

Note: This is for students who have never attended Rice CISD.

Later, you will need to upload the student’s Birth Certificate, Immunization Records, Parent photo ID, Proof of Residency (Bill with your name on it where you live), and Student Social Security Card/ID to complete the enrollment process. A computer or table with a large screen is recommended for this process. Using a phone is not recommended due to the small screen.

 

Step 1

You can use the link above to create a parent account in Skyward and then begin the registration process. After creating an account, an email will be sent to your inbox with your username and password. 

 

Step 2

Find the email from Skyward. It will have your username, password, and link to Rice CISD’s Skyward login page, make sure for the login area it says New Student Application and later you will be able to select Rice Challenge Academy as the school you are enrolling to. Type in your username and password and begin filling out all the required information. This is where you will need digital copies of your child’s Birth Certificate, Immunization Records, Parent Photo ID, Proof of Residency (Bill with your address and name), and Student Social Security/ID Card. 

 

Step 3

Complete each enrollment section and upload required documents. If you need to, you can save and return to the application at a later time.

 

Step 4

Review and Submit for review. You can expect an email notification within 2-3 business days on the approval or denial of the registration. If denied, a specific reason will be given, i.e. address listed does not match the Proof of Residency File, incomplete data, etc and you can resolve those issues and re-submit.
